Mortal Kombat 2 Trailer time!

Its finally, after a much anticipated wait, out now!

Mortal Kombat 2 was a five-month labour of love that finished off 2024 with a flawless victory. Graded entirely in FilmLight Baselight, this project blurred the line between colour grading and full-on compositing.

Partnering once again with the ever-brilliant Olivier Fontenay, we tag-teamed a seriously in-depth grade that pushed our tools (and our stamina) to the limit. XGRADE and the Face Tracker were lifesavers! Without them, I’d probably still be dealing with dodgy hue shifts and hand keyframing in extremely intricate face shapes now. Chromogen surprised us too. Originally intended just for look creation, it became our go-to weapon for precision cleanup, letting us isolate hue, sat, and luminance ranges elegantly and accurately, with no bubbly keys in sight.

Always a thrill to collaborate with such a talented team. Can’t wait for you to see it on the big screen October 23 — and if you’re going to watch it anywhere, make it IMAX. It’s going to hit hard.
